HONEYWELL HORTICULTURAL AWARD
This coveted award is named for Professor E. R. Honeywell. The
purpose of this award is to stimulate greater interest
in horticulture and to recognize those individuals who are
contributing most to this phase of garden club work. Only a
bona-fide resident of the state of Indiana and an active amateur
member of The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc. is eligible for this
award. An amateur is one who grows plants for pleasure and whose
return from sales, if any, does not equal outlay for seeds and
plants.
Evidence of work done by the nominee must be prepared personally
and assembled in one scrapbook. Included in this should be a
synopsis of the work done, research, awards won, publicity,
photos, etc.
The application form is to be obtained from the State Honeywell
Chairman. Application form with supporting data is due to State
Honeywell Chairman by December 1.
An engraved award and a Certificate of Award will be presented
to the winner of this award.
