Central Region Life Membership

As the Life Membership Chairman for Central Region, I would like to express my appreciation to the 190 people for becoming a CR Life Member. 100% of the $50.00 contribution goes into the CR Scholarship Fund for scholarships. In 2004-2005, two students from the each of seven CR States received a $500.00 scholarship or $7000.00 in scholarships were awarded from the CR Scholarship Fund. As stated in the CR Newsletter there is a contest. The state obtaining the most new life memberships will receive special recognition at the CR Meeting at the 2007 NGC Convention. Currently, Iowa is in the lead with five new CR Life Memberships. (See Form in Summer 2005 CR Newsletter.)

In the 2003-2005, 56 New CR Life Memberships were given. My goal is to gain 60 new CR Life Memberships in 2005-2007. Currently, I have received 11 new CR Life Memberships, we are 1/6 of the way to meeting my goal. Consider becoming a CR Life Member if you are not already one. If you have a CR Life Membership, consider giving a membership as a gift to a family member, or as a tribute to a family member or a garden club member. Maybe give a membership to your state president/officer(s) or club president /officer(s).
