Director’s Dialogue
Spring 2008
The plans for the August 2nd District Flower Show were finalized. Committee
slots were filled, and Linda Briar extended a welcome for all to visit the
Briar Patch.
The plans for the September 2009 Fall Seminar were started. The chairman is
Bonnie Carrell with Ruth Moorhead as co-chairman. The seminar is going to be
held at the Mounds State Park near Anderson. The district is going to take
advantage of the history of the Mounds and the large beautiful Monarch
Butterfly Garden that are available to the public. More details will be
given as arrangements are finalized. Linda Briar is Ways and Means chairman
with Joyce Bulington as Registration chairman. We will be asking for members
to help and to participate in what is expected to be a fun learning
experience.
Please note the changes to be made in the mailing of the Indiana Gardens. It
is explained fully on this cover of the magazine. This is being done as a
more cost effective way of handling the State publication. If this does not
work, we will have to try something else, but it cannot remain the same at
this time. Thank you for your attention to this change, and remember it is a
choice that you must make.
