OFFICERS, DISTRICT DIRECTORS AND STATE CHAIRMEN:
Please prepare your written reports, making six copies. Bring five to this meeting and retain one copy for your files. District Directors’ reports are limited to three minutes. State Chairmen reports are limited to two minutes. Board members are expected to attend each Board Meeting. IF FOR ANY REASON, YOU ARE UNABLE TO ATTEND, PLEASE MAIL FIVE COPIES OF YOUR REPORT TO LANA COMPO, CORRESPONDING SECRETARY.
Members wishing to make a recommendation should send three copies to the President at least fifteen days before the meeting date. (See Standing Rule #29).
NOTICE:
The TGCI Bylaws Committee presents the following proposed amendment to the Standing Rules of The Garden Club of Indiana, Inc.
Standing Rule #11: Delete “1st” and insert “3rd”. Now reads: The 1st Vice President shall order a NGC Director’s pin to be presented to the incoming State President at installation. The cost to come from the General Fund. Will then read: The 3rd Vice President shall order a NGC Director’s pin to be presented to the incoming State President at installation. The cost to come from the General Fund.
Rationale: Since all officers are now elected in the same year, and the 1st Vice President becomes the President-Elect, the 1st Vice President would actually be ordering a pin for herself. Since the 3rd Vice President is responsible for purchasing gifts for invited NGC officers, CR Director and the State President for presentation at the Annual Convention, it seems reasonable to add this to her duties.
